Saliva Testing and
The Fertility Tracker
For years, researchers
have been observing and studying saliva testing. In 1969, Dr. Biel Cassals,
a Spanish gynecologist spent quite a bit of time testing and studying the
crystallization of saliva. At the Barcelona Medical Board, he presented his
findings in regards to the relationship between hormonal changes during the
menstrual cycle and the crystallization of saliva, which indicates the
“ferning” salvia as being virtually identical in appearance to the
arborization effect of cervical fluids. After 10 months of studying a group
of 1,000 women, it was reported that there was a success rate of around
96.2% as to being able to determine when the women were fertile and able to
conceive.
Since 1969, there have
been various other studies conducted which indicate that saliva testing is
just as effective as urine testing when it comes to ovulation detection. It
has been concluded that saliva testing (aka saliva ferning) can be used to
aid women in the detection of their fertile periods. Today, saliva
testing/saliva fertility monitors are quite accurate in predicting and
verifying the time of peak fertility or ovulation. By measuring changes in
the electrolytes in a woman’s saliva, a saliva fertility monitor can tell
you when the best time for conception will be.
How is Saliva
Testing Done?
Saliva testing is very
accurately done with a quality saliva fertility monitor such as the
Fertility Tracker. Basic saliva fertility monitors are non-electronic
devices that come with lenses that will help a woman view and detect her
hormonal changes in her saliva prior to or during ovulation. All a woman
has to do to test her saliva is simply to put a drop of her saliva on the
lens or slide and then let it dry. Once it is dry, then the lens/slide can
be viewed and certain specific patterns will become apparent.
If you are ovulating
or about to ovulate, then saliva ferning will be taking place and a
crystal-like image can be viewed. During this time, conception is more
likely to occur. Note that conception is possible between 3 days before to
24 hours after ovulation has begun. If you are not ovulating, then a
non-ferning simple dot and line pattern will be present, indicating such.
If you are in a transitional period, then you will notice small ferning
patterns (crystal forms) which indicate that ovulation may occur in about 3
to 4 days. Today one of the most popular, safe, natural and nearly 100%
accurate saliva fertility monitor is the Fertility Tracker.
You make the choice; pee on a stick each
day or lick a slide and look through the microscope for your results only
minutes later.
